WAX Protocol Token
We have exciting news for all future holders of WAX Tokens! WAX is issuing new custom blockchain tokens in 2018 when the final version of the token is complete, and at that time, holders of the original token will receive the new token — and keep their existing ERC-20 token.
About the two WAX Tokens
We’re issuing two versions of WAX Tokens over the next year, both of which will be tradeable, have value, and a unique purpose. The first version is an ERC-20 WAX Token distributed in December 2017, which will be used to buy and sell items on OPSkins.com or thousands of other game sites like Twitch, Ubisoft or PUBG, and enables high-speed, low-cost, cross-border transactions of any amount. But this isn’t the final product. The final version of WAX will be a custom blockchain token, already being built and available in 2018. That WAX Platform is what facilitates all the of the unique features including buying and selling items through the use of smart contracts, sharing fee income among multiple parties, pegged asset contracts managing volatility, pledging to guilds, enabling exchange widgets, and more.
Instead of burning the original ERC-20 WAX Token, we’re issuing the custom blockchain token to holders of the ERC-20 WAX Token at a 1:1 ratio.
How do I get the WAX custom blockchain token?
Simple: hold the ERC-20 version of the WAX Token at the time we distribute the new one. Remember way back in August 2017 when BTC forked and anyone who held BTC by a certain date received the same amount of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) post-fork? Think along those lines.
